Under a tree, two trainers and their Pokemon were taking a quick rest underneath its lofty branches from a days travel. The quiet ease of the forest lulled the brunette female trainer and her Pokemon to sleep, while the auburn male leaned against the tree deep in thought. The Umbreon at his feet intently watched a leaf fall from the branches above, possibly loosened by a passing Pokemon. 'Who knew this would happen.'

The two trainers both liked to travel alone and would never have thought of actually traveling together, but after each and every run in with each other at every town, they decided why not. The girl seemed to enjoy the company "for once" and the boy seemed to finally be able to talk to a girl who was NOT like one of his cheerleaders he used to have him follow him around. The two seemed to need friends and ended up finding each other unexpectedly.

All was going well for the pair of trainers who enjoyed the solitude of the forest.

Yay a Gary and Ashley picture! :la: Sorry for the lame story! It just felt empty if I did not write anything story-wise about the picture :icononionfailplz:

This is a re-draw of an oldie back from 2007, as seen here [link] I have DEFINITELY improved  I changed quite a few things when I was drawing the new one, I didn't want to make it look like an exact copy :XD:

I've always had a fondness for Pokemon art, especially scene-like art. The environment is amazing looking. I find that the Pokemon look rather fitting within it. I love the choice in Pokemon within as well. I think my favorite would be the Absol. Its pose is admiringly cool looking even if it is just resting. Something that also captured my attention is that the Umbreon seems to be gazing at a falling leaf. I thought that was a great addition in detail and it really added to the piece. The Pikachu looks adorable and utterly happy to be resting on Ashley's leg. Gary and Ashley look very peaceful. They don't look really out of place either. This is a wonderful piece of artwork. And it certainly shows a massive amount of improvement from the original. Marvelous work with this. :)
