Summer air! Ah, how the sun felt so nice on her fur as she layed in her yard, resting. Her ear twitched toward a rustling sound, coming from her tree. 'Ah! The birds must have come back!' She thought to herself happily, as her tail swayed in excitement. Getting up from her warm resting place, she stretched and yawned, the sun's warmth had made her sleepy, but she did not care. Crouching silently to the ground, she slinked silently toward her tree. Above her, something moved at the higher branches! Ears pricked, she climbed the tree, trying not to be noticed by her next meal. Balancing, on the limb, she crouched down once again, rocking back and forth on her haunches. 'SPRING!' She yelled in her head as she extended her claws and attacked her prey. To her surprise, it was larger then she thought! She rammed the animal, and both her and her prey were now falling out of the tree. Her spine tingled as she landed gracefully on her feet, while her prey, not so much. Ears flattened to her head, she saw it was no bird, but another cat! Firey red and black in coloration, and flat on their face in the grass. Jumping to his feet quickly, the apprentice sized kitten hissed, "What was that for?! His fur all in a bushy heap of fear and anger. Laughing at the display, she mocked, "And what are you supposed to be, a wild cat?" Spitting, the kitten growled, "I am a wild cat! And WHY DID YOU KNOCK ME OUT OF THAT TREE?!!" His temper flared, but it was hard not to laugh at his size. No matter how hard he tried to act big and tough, he just ended up being cute. Her green hues glanced down to a collar around his neck, with a smirk, she proceeded to approach the kit, "Aaannndd...wild cats wear collars eh?" She started to laugh again, as the young cat started to back away, his fur still bushy. "You-you-you better get away from me you kittypet! Or-or-" He stuttered, showing his sharp teeth at her. "Kittypet? Look kid, I think you have been hearing stories from that old cat for too long! What can you do to me you little runt?" She said with a sly smile, as she crouched down once again to her haunches swaying, "I will show you how reality is kid!" She launched herself into the air, but to her surprise, the kit would not bundge from his stance. "BAM!" She suddenly had her face inplanted into the fence, and the kit was nowhere in her sites. "Up here!" A voice called, she glared up the fence to see the kit rocking back and forth, his tongue sticking out, "You can't get me kittypet!" He mewed mockingly as he laughed. Growling, Tammy's nose was bruised, and she was pissed. She lunged up once again, catching the kit by surprise this time. But once again, she landed on the other side of the fence. Fear tingled in her body as she raced back up the fence. "What is wrong kittypet? Had enough?" Said the young tom, his tail swishing with happiness. "GET BACK OVER HERE KID, IT IS NOT SAFE NEAR THE FOREST!" She yowled to the kit, who stood there with confusion on his face. "Wha?" ths kits ears folded to their sides, clearly not understanding why a beautiful place like the forest would be so dangerous. "Dangerous? Why is it dangerous? He meowed, slowly, coming toward the fence. "There are wild cats in there! And they dislike housepets!" She rolled her eyes. 'How could his parents not tell him about the dangers of the forest?'
