VAIR Figure Progress UPDATE 3 by KasaraWolf VAIR Figure Progress UPDATE 3 by KasaraWolf
He is almost done! I just got to add the tufts of fur on his feet and re add a tooth that fell of, and he will be ready for "baking!" :) I just hope it all goes well, I would hate to see him fall apart at the last stage ^^;

looking great so far! I've had interest in trying to make a figure like that.. but I don't really know how to do it. with your method, do you take the clay off then bake it? or do you bake it without having the plastic figure melt?

I actually have not baked it at all yet, it's just been sitting on my counter :lol: I am actually going to make my own little oven with a light bulb/heat lamp to bake it in today XD We will see how that goes, I will be sure to update when I do try it :XD:

Thanks~!

I am using Sculpey III clay, but I am having a hard time finding a way to back it without melting the figure ^^;

are you going to use the fur pattern on the toy or are going to smooth that over?

I am leaving it as it is, I made grooves in the clay already to match with the fur, but after I bake it, I don't know if the spray paint will fill in those grooves or not :XD:
