Does anyone else have this issue?? Or is it just me?

These are two different issues. I would post this to twitter, but the people that I am talking about are on twitter and twitter circle no longer exists, sooo… B)

Since the beginning of forever, I've had people go "hey, can you draw my character for me," and I’ve always pointed them to my commission prices. People are always shocked when they see they have to pay money for my work. It's the norm for me. Now what I have not had happen to me in my years on the internet, is people talk to me and trying to befriend me, suddenly thinking they can get FREE ART of their characters from me, or to ASK ME FOR MONEY.

These are two separate people.

First person. Not taking pics of discord messages, as it’s a lot. I’ve been talking to this person for a bit. Every time they would suggest wanting their oc drawn, I would ignore it. (Day one they hinted at wanting their character drawn)

Fast forward to today, they asked me to draw them something, no hinting and trying to trick me to draw them something like they were before. They sent refs and everything, ending with, “It would mean a lot if you could do this for me, but if you cannot, don't fret. It's completely fine if your too busy or anything.” Like my girl. Of course I’m busy. I have art to finish for people who actually paid for my time. If you offered to pay, then of course, I would make room for you. But you didn’t. (And I drew something for this person once when they were having a bad day to make them feel better, and they didn't like how I drew girls so drew over it to "match their character" Never had that happen before, so it hurt) Naturally, that makes me wary of them already. I told her sorry and that I couldn’t do it, since I was busy with previous commissions. It sucks because they are fun to talk ridiculous Dragon Ball / Xenoverse stuff with, but when they request free art just because “were friends” it makes me go ehhhh.

My two closest friends, ALWAYS offer to pay. Always. Because they know that art takes TIME.

And now onto the second person. They asked me for money, straight up. I’ve only been talking with them on discord for a couple months.

I told them that I didn’t have any cash to spare (as I have it invested in commissions) to which they replied, “I understand <3” and I haven’t heard from them for a couple of weeks. Soooo… they were only messaging me every day, seeming interested in what I was doing and being nice, only to ask me for money and then when I refuse, they disappear? Ouch.

This is rude. Very rude. Don't be like these people.

Having encounters like this online has made me veeeerrryyy untrustworthy of people, mostly on the internet. Because I have no idea if someone actually wants to talk to me / be my friend because they like me for me, or because of what I can do for them, aka, draw. It makes me sad, because I love chatting with people. Makes me happy. But when stuff like this happens, it makes me want to go crawl in a hole.

It's not cool guys. I do not like being used :/

Looking to commission someone to redo a Dragon Ball OC model's hair and possibly do some textures for me!!

The 3d hair he has is alright, but it's not exactly what I was looking for. I feel like it could use more layers, especially on the front spikes? To give it more volume. With a straight on view of him, he looks really flat and the edges of his hair are rounded and not sharp and wispy like hair. (And maybe to add sharp edges on his gloves to make them look "fluffy?") I am also looking for someone who could possibly do his textures! The current ones he has are not very "Dragon Ball" styled and I would really like him to look like a 2D with his textures (or even make him look more like my art work of him. I would texture him myself, but I don't have a lot of time to do so)

PLEASE SEND EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK AND YOUR PRICES. YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW BOTH! I can hire two different artists one for hair and one for textures if need be :)

Sorry, feeling kind of ranty~ Just got to let my feelings out somewhere X_X.

I am really getting tired of how people make me feel bad about my work. (Mostly my writing) Like, telling me to work on my own stuff or "stop wasting your time with stuff that isn't your own."

Stop working on it, because it won’t make me money. Can’t I just write and draw things for fun??? Why does there have to monetary gain from it???

Basically, I am writing the DB Fanfic out, not like a script like I originally planned. Actual story format. Just in case I can never get around to drawing the whole thing, then it can be read at least.

I have also given the finished chapters of my Dragon Ball fanfic to some people I do know (4 total) and yet, they don’t read it, when THEY are the ones that ASK IF THEY CAN READ IT. (I give them a 19 pages chapter, since the others are long winded) Then I hear that they’ve only read like, the first two pages and then they make excuses and want me to “read it to them,” either VIA recording or in person. It’s like, they can’t be bothered to read it themselves. :/ And it bugs me. And then those who do read it, DO NOT GIVE ME FEEDBACK, or like, say anything about it at all. Like, what did you think about it? Could you hear the characters??? Did certain things and feelings come across??? But nope. Radio silence. I want feedback so I can improveeee, because I am naturally, not a writer. :<

Thank goodness for my little sister, because she actually gives me some solid feedback on the story, and I think my writing has really improved since the first rough drafts. But man….It’s just reallllyyy wearing me down. Makes me heckin depressed and angry, WHICH IS NOT ME AT ALL. It’s making me not want to share any of my writings with anyone anymore, and just keep it to myself, (so I can stop being disappointed in people) until its completely done and about to go to the comic stage.

Sorry again to the people who follow me and see this, I know this is not why you follow me, so I apologize for the rant ;o; I'm just really upset and can't bottle it up anymore, so had to post it somewhere.... its been eating at me for months and I am tired of feeling crappy about something I enjoy making :////

I know deviantart seems to be a mostly dead place (at least to me it does, used to be so much more interactive with your watchers and such) but I need some advice on where to find some voice actors!

I am looking for voice actors to possibly dub my Dragon Ball Xenoverse comics and maybe for some future animations as well! So I am looking for voices for my oc's and for some canon characters~

Characters that are PRIORITY at this time are Fu and Kota (Mostly Kota!)~ Later I am looking for someone to voice Trunks/Sakana/Tomata/Tufu and other characters.
